Hotel designer James Freeman, AIA, Co-Founder, FSC Architects spoke at MexHIC in Mexico City about how sustainability is one of the keys to creating authentic experiences guest will remember. He says by thinking sustainably you can create unique designs that incorporate the environment, that "There's a direct correlation between authenticity and the environment, especially in the resort business," and "If you listen to the property, it will talk to you...You have to think about what the opportunity is (at the property) and if you can capitalize on it as part of the guest experience. That's often the most memorable (part of their stays). If a hotel is nothing but brick, mortar, stone, glass and steel, there's nothing particularly special about that."

FSC Architects is an international resort design firm focused on creating bespoke authentic guest experiences they believe are the most memorable by enriching life. They specialize in hotel architecture, resort design, resort master planning, integrated resorts, boutique resorts, mixed-use and residential projects that require their excellent place-making skills and transcendent adaptation of culture, climate, place and natural environment.
