A Classic Destination Renewed
Kauhale (Hawaiian village) of the past is the overall inspiration for new indoor and outdoor venues within a complex of gardens, courtyards and renewed and new buildings, that are traditionally inspired in respect to culture and place yet contemporarily executed to inspire guest today and years to come. These venues allow the resort to tell the story of Hawaiian culture through its internationally acclaimed Po'okela program.
The project's new buildings include the lobby, restaurants, ballroom and meeting rooms, all back-of-house facilities and parking garage addition, and the existing 432 guest rooms are fully renovated. Phase One is complete including two guestroom wings featuring employee handcrafted makamae (precious gifts) in each room, and the new-build Huihui restaurant and bar - a "house without walls" Hawaiian voyage telling experience, with indoor and terrace beachside dining on ascending levels to provide unmatched views for all patrons.
